OVERVIEW
Technocorp began in 1992 as a small business information technology services provider and products reseller.

Technocorp is able to provide an entrepreneur with an affordable commercial solution to start up and run a corporation online, and to eliminate the need to have an internal MIS (management information systems) department.

The solution relies on TBose, a hosted management information system, as a basic platform on which Technocorp can deliver a stack of business services to the startup corporation:

Note that the delivery of a full business services stack is dependent on the availability of allocated brokers and resources in a region.

The stack of business services is customized to fit the allocated budget of each customer and is implemented in phases.

The goal is to make it possible for entrepreneurs to setup corporations in the internet cloud and to do so with minimum resources, dealing with
  • management and the evolution of operations beyond a one-person business;
  • growing a private business network for workers, clients, and suppliers or partners;
  • human resources management with security controls on access to data, files, content and business services by workers;
  • security controls on access to data, files, content and business services by customers, partners and the public website;
  • IT requirements, including website, custom mobile and web apps development, integration of new (or migration of old) services and applications; and
  • communication services, including business class email services, SMS and internal message services, corporate phone and voicemail services for workers, including interactive applications with the corporate phone system.
Projects are extensive and Technocorp usually takes on interesting projects through personal introductions.  It is possible to Contact Technocorp with a project for consideration.

TECHNOSOFT BUSINESS SYSTEMS
Intellectual Property Owner
Technosoft Business Systems, created in 1992, owns the TECHNOCORP trade mark and TBose, the Technocorp Business O/STM software.
TECHNOCORP is a registered trademark or a trademark in Canada, the European Community, U.S.A., Asia and other countries for the delivery of quality technology products, services and solutions to companies.
Between the period of 1996-1997, the TECHNOCORP trade mark had established usage in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and the Carribean, as a result of the Bar Code Integrated System that was developed for Nortel to bar code equipment used by telcos around the world.
Technosoft Business Systems licences the TBose software "AS IS" and WITHOUT SUPPORT, through Secits, to customers of Secits holding a valid hosting service agreement with Secits. As such, the customer is required to negotiate a separate service level agreement for software support and development with Secits.
Investigations concerning valid TECHNOCORP trade mark usages, trade mark and software licences should be directed to licences@technocorp.com.

SECITS
Technology And Services Provider
Secits was created in 2006 in Toronto, Canada, and operates under the licenced TECHNOCORP ® brand.
Secits exclusively provides software development and hosting on TBose, a Technocorp Business O/STM software.
Secits has been working to provide a HOSTING ALTERNATIVE for businesses on SERVERS LOCATED IN THE E.U., IN SPAIN as the internet gains speed, instead of on servers in developing regions, because
  • the increasing trade and partnerships between companies in North America and Europe, including Asia, are driving up the speed of the internet;
  • businesses in developing countries need access to clients in the EU, as well as North America, the British Commonwealth, Latin & South America, Africa, Asia and other regions; and
  • customers and partners need to know that their information are protected under well established laws.  In general, consumers are attracted to businesses with controls on access to their private data. Everyone knows that Spain has some of the most advanced and consolidated data protection laws.
For more information, please contact Secits at sales@technocorp.com.

BROKERS
Entrepreneurs starting up non-technical service companies on TBose can easily work with Technocorp to help deliver the non-IT parts of the business services stack to startups as Technocorp Authorized Brokers.

The goal of the business of Technocorp is the following:
  1. Help small businesses to startup in the cloud as hosted corporations on TBose.
  2. Help small businesses to organize their business operations in the cloud on TBose.
  3. Help small businesses to run and manage their business operations in the cloud on TBose.
  4. Help small businesses to submit requirements to add custom services to TBose.
  5. Prepare brokers to deliver solutions to customers.
  6. Subcontract out excess work to authorized brokers local to customers.
  7. Develop a network of authorized brokers to scale up the delivery of business service to startups and small companies.
Going through the process of starting up one's own business on TBose should allow the entrepreneur to determine his or her capability to deliver some or all of the non-tecnical parts of the Technocorp business services stack to others.

The designation Technocorp Authorized Brokers is assigned by a licence to the entrepreneur with experience delivering the non-tecnical parts of the Technocorp business services stack successfully.

TBOSE

Entrepreneurs need an affordable commercial solution to start up and run a corporation online on a management information system:
  • The solution has to be delivered by a reputable service provider;
  • The scope of the project has to be end-to-end, from registration of a corporation to operations and support on the system, involving customer, partner and human resources management with security controls on centralized access to data, files, content and custom services by all users and the public website;
  • The ongoing common business issuses have to be identified and be addressed for the success of the project;
  • The entrepreneur needs the technical I.T. details to be managed by the services provider:
    • I.T. services for communications, involving private corporate messages integrated with email and sms;
    • I.T. services to setup a corporate phone and voicemail services for workers, including interactive applications with the phone system; and
    • I.T. services for website and interactive software development for browsers and mobile devices;
Technocorp is able to provide an entrepreneur with such a solution, using its TBose product and associated stack of business services.

The TBose, short for the Technocorp Business O/S, is a management information system that is delivered and supported as a hosted product by Technocorp.

The associated stack of business services is customized to fit the allocated budget of the entrepreneur, and it is delivered in stages where the non-technological parts are delegated out to third parties or brokers for delivery:

Business Issues
Even without having to deal with technical I.T. issues, an entrepreneur with ambitions to evolve a business beyond a one-person operation cannot escape the fact that the business will have many moving parts and is naturally complex.  It is challenging to setup a corporation and run it online on any vendor's technology.  Here is a summary of some of the issues the entrepreneur has to address:
  • First of all, the entrepreneur needs to raise money to pay for the cost in setting up a corporation online.
  • The entrepreneur has to be able to find and retain a supplier to help setup the corporation online from scratch, and the supplier must have a range of capabilities that include integrating the business with a custom interactive corporate phone and voicemail services for workers.
  • A business plan is required to finance and manage the evolution of the corporation as rules and laws changes.  For example, computing and supporting I.T. needs will increase.
  • While a business legally exists in a jurisdiction, its operations and data can be in another.  If ordered by a court, the entrepreneur must be able to provide any information that is required by the ruling. It is important to understand tax laws and to have a good corporate lawyer.  This is usually beyond the domain of an accountant.
  • The entrepreneur has to dedicate a trusted resource, the Chief Operating Officer, expected to stay for the duration of the business and to work with the supplier of the hosted corporate technology
    • to learn how to use the technolgy as a tool for business needs,
    • to provide management and controls in place to protect information on workers, customers and partners, including other business information, and
    • to submit business requirements to the supplier to address specific needs as the business evolves.
  • The obscure technical knowledge that is possessed by a supplier, and its partners, to deliver a hosted corporate solution on a given technology is not easily transferrable into an alternative technology environment by a third party. This is because
    • corporate hosting technologies, environment configurations, and solutions from vendors are all different, requiring services to be rewritten and data to be migrated;
    • the proprietary expertise in delivering a solution on a technology is protected, usually by agreements between vendors, suppliers and customers; and
    • the data migration cost is usually prohibitive for entrepreneurs, not to mention the retraining of users and the high risk of losing customers.

Background On TBose
The TBose system was designed by Technosoft Business Systems, an experienced systems and information integrator.

The TBose, or the Technocorp Business Operating System Engine as it was originally called, started out as a simple portable server-side data I/O interface to MySQL using the PHP Data Objects extension, primarily for a server cluster running Linux and Microsoft Windows to support interactive Javascript client applications.

The design is based on an early 90's client-server model, where the client is decoupled from the server over a telephone wire, in order to minimize data transfer.  The idea from Technosoft Business Systems was to avoid or eliminate embedding PHP in HTML, a non-standard approach to the common use of the server-side scripting language.  There was also the motivation to develop something radically different from previous works, and to eliminate the use of cookies to track connections.

Developed and tested in stages over a number of years, and funded privately, the TBose evolved into the Technocorp Business O/S, a management information system for small corporations.  The goal being the positioning of the TBose as a structured corporate cloud model for a small business to rapidly grow into.  This is a revisionist approach to the traditional extended enterprise model:
A traditional extended enterprise is a large business with multiple divisions, and corresponding infrastructures, with services that are accessible by the public, workers, customers and partners.

The increasing speed and reliability of the global web, or internet cloud, is making it possible for multiple divisions of the extended enterprise to be consolidated down into one centralized system.  The improved management, efficiencies and access control serve to minimize operating costs for a competitive advantage.

The driving force to compete, couple with the increasing speed of the cloud, is accelerating the consolidation effort by companies.  But unlike a small business growing to fit into a structured corporate system like the TBose, a large company has a huge challenge to consolidate traditional practices down on to a custom model under a change management process, involving systems and processes migration, integration, security and retraining challenges.
Initially, when it was a smaller and a less complex system, the TBose was made available under a licence agreement as a required component for projects delivered by Technocorp.   But as it evolved into a more complex system, requiring tighter integration into a hosting environment, and requiring expertise beyond that of most small businesses, the TBose was made affordable under a subscription licence model as part of a hosted solution provisioned and managed by Technocorp.

Technical Overview
TBose defines a scalable business architecture that allows the user interfaces of applications to be decoupled from the reusable server side services:
  • The core server side components are written in PHP and are therefore portable.
  • It can support machine-to-machine communication.
  • Mobile applications can be easily integrated with the server side services.
  • It is extensible through a unique programming model for the development of additional custom services and applications as required.
  • The corporate websites can be integrated with it.
  • Custom services can be developed to collect data from sensors.
The TBose server services can be remotely accessed through custom mobile applications and/or web window applications in a browser.

The collection of web page applications can be customized to define special TBose desktops for the corporate workers, customers and partners.

The web window applications are built on client services to handle CRUD (create, retrieve, update and delete) operations on remote information in the TBose system.

The client services in web window applications are decoupled from the reusable server side services.

To address the complexity and security in developing for such a corporate system, a unique programming model was created, termed the TBose Programming Model.  The approach taken was to create something that the average programmer can use to easily add services to the system.

On the client side, the TBose Javascript Framework, a specialized lightweight pure Javascript framework, was created to simplify the complexity in developing and running multiple web window applications in a single web page.  But on its own, this is yet another framework that is totally useless.

On the server side, the server services collectively define the specialized TBose middleware that provides a standardized interface through which computing devices can securely access business information over the internet.

The TBose PHP Framework was created to simplify the complexity in developing server services in the TBose.
